Mountain Pride Media is
currently involved in a major initiative to bring all 20 years of Out
In The Mountains onto the web. Due to the size of this project we
are actively working to secure funding to contract this project out. In
the meantime, we have been lucky enough to find several community members
who have volunteered their time and energy to help us make this goal a
reality. We refer to them as the OITM Archive Team.
The process currently being employed is
to re-type or scan in articles from past issues. This content is converted
to a text format that can then easily be imported into HTML documents.
Each issue is then recreated using Dreamweaver to create a web version
of the issue. We are also scanning in the Out In The Mountains
headers, pictures, and graphics from all the past issues.
