The Boston to New York AIDS Ride 5 took place September 16 - 19 in spite of Hurricane Floyd. Cyclists had to be bused from Boston on the first leg of the trip because of heavy rains, but were able to pedal the rest of the weekend.

Net proceeds from the Tanqueray sponsored event benefit the HIV and AIDS-related services of Boston’s Fenway Community Health

Center, New York’s Lesbian and Gay Community Services Center and Callen-Lorde Community Health Center. Tanqueray’s American AIDS Rides are expected to raise a total of $28 million in contributions from five rides around the country.
