Theatre on a Shoestring: Advice Needed!

Theatre on a Shoestring is looking for your advice. TOAS is conducting a survey about what show we should do for our spring production. The survey is up and running through December 10. Go to our website (www.theatreshoe.com) and click on the survey logo. Read over the plays listed and choose one of them or write in a title of a show you think might be well received. Here’s your chance to possibly see a show you been wanting to see, but haven’t had the chance to.
While there, check out all of the information we have: the most up-to-date calendar of events in the area, national theatre-related job opportunities, national and international theatre listings, and so much more. Sign up for our email updates free. To get our monthly newsletter online, send your request to TOAS at info@theatreshoe.com.
TOAS wishes all of OITM's readers a safe and happy holiday season! Thanks for all of your support and see you in 2003!

Twelve Days of Mountain Pride Media

Each month, Mountain Pride Media (MPM) acknowledges the individuals who help get Out In The Mountains (OITM) out into the community by attending the monthly “stuffing.” Thanks to Euan, Pete, Tania, Roland, Dan, Stephen, Matthew, James, Michael, Louise, Daryl, Alverta, Gwynne, and Dean. It was great to see so many new faces. The December “stuffing” (January issue) will be on Thursday, December 26 (yes, the day after Christmas) starting at 5 p.m. at our office, above The Daily Bread, in Richmond, Vermont. Please feel free to stop by, say hello and help out.
Mountain Pride Media is excited to announce an upcoming fundraising event: Sunday, December 15, 2002 at Cactus Jack’s in White River Junction, Vermont, the Barony of All Vermont’s annual Holiday Ball will benefit Mountain Pride Media. There will be a 50/50 raffle, raffle prizes, and lots of great entertainment. The cover is $10 and the doors open at 7 p.m. with the show starting at 8 p.m. We encourage everyone to come out and join us. For more information about this event please contact Roland Palmer at rfpvt@together.net or 802-383-7679 (weekdays).
Remember to check out the Shopping Section of our web site www.mountainpridemedia.org as you finish up your holiday shopping. Not only can you find great MPM merchandise, including our new MPM Mugs, but you get access to the IGive Mall (with hundreds of retailers we know and love), TLA Books & Videos, Entertainment Books, The Vermont Country Store, and more. The best part is that a portion of every sale goes directly back to MPM to help support our organization.
We still have 2003 Vermont Entertainment Books in stock. These are ideal gifts for your hard-to-buy-for friends or family members – or even the ones who just love getting a bargain! You can pick up a copy at Greener Pastures (274 N. Winooski Avenue in Burlington – the site of the former Onion River Co-op) or at The Daily Bread (39 Bridge Street in Richmond) or simply order one online through our web site. There are Entertainment Books for over 150 cities available online as well for those with friends and family who don't live in Vermont.
Mountain Pride Media offers our deepest appreciation and thanks to our donors, grantors, business supporters, advertisers, volunteers, and staff for all your support in 2002. We couldn’t do it without you. We wish you a safe and memorable holiday season and look forward to working with you in 2003.
