Advertising Sales Manager ö JobDescription

The Mountain PrideMedia (MPM) Advertising Sales Manager will:

¬ Meet all deadlines for newspaper andWeb site production

¬ Ensure advertising materials (text,photos, graphics, etc.) are available for production

¬ Complete final production proof of allads for placement and existence both in the paper and on the web site

¬ Meet all budgeted ad sales goals andprovide input in the yearly budgeting process

¬ Develop advertising campaigns &promotions

¬ Maintain Advertising Database

¬ Collect ad contracts and otherpaperwork from clients and/or ad sales reps.

¬ Oversee and assist ad sales reps in allaspects of their position, including:

¬ Supervise and train all ad sales reps.

¬ Research and assign new sales leads toad sales reps.

¬ Serve as liaison between the designstaff and ad sales representatives

¬ Oversee and manage all Agency Accounts

¬ Communicate with clients and/or adsales reps regarding ad copy, deadlines, special issues & promotions, etc.

¬ Manage collection efforts for past dueaccounts and provide monthly report to MPM Treasurer

¬ Maintain a weekly account of time spentdoing this job as well as compile this same information for all ad sales repsand report this to the Mountain Pride Media Treasurer on a monthly basis

¬ Prepare reports for MPM Treasurer,Publishing and Executive Committees, and the Board of Directors as required

¬ Any other items deemed by MountainPride Media to fall under the authority of this position

The Ad SalesManager will also:

á Report to theExecutive Committee

á Receive commission as per the Mountain Pride Media Ad Sales ManagerCompensation Plan

á Participate on thePublishing Committee and attend meetings as scheduled

á Participate inExecutive Committee meetings quarterly or as required

á Uphold the MissionStatement of Mountain Pride Media and OutIn The Mountains

The AdSales Manager will need substantial access to a computer with internet serviceand an

e-mailaccount, as well as telephone access.
